SIGHTOUND
SOIREE AT THE ROYAL SQUARE
Animal Day
is a yearly event organised by Bridget
Murphy and we were once again grateful to
be invited to attend. The main difference
this year was - we would have the show
trailer in tow...literally.
The event
was due to begin at 9am and ideally we
wanted the trailer in situ long before
then to avoid any congestion, so thanks
to Mal, the trailer was trundling along
the avenue at 5.30am!
Once again
the usual gang were there - Malarky,
Fonz, OB, Harlea & Wiz, but the event
soon became a sighthound soiree as they
were joined by some of their sighthound
pals - all shapes and sizes and all so
pleased to see each other, just like long
lost pals.

Steve with the oh
so handsome (and he knows it) Footy and
little Pip
New boy Flex made an
appearance, as well as Zara and Billy
Blue. Thank you to all our owners and
sighthound friends for coming along to
support us.

Despite the fine
weather tempting people to the beach,
town was still mobbed and we had a
constant stream of visitors and the dogs
were often engulfed and loving all the
fuss.

The shock of the day
was chatting to a lady and her daughter
who were visiting from the mainland. She
was telling us about Heather her friend
who's a veterinary nurse and she'd
fostered and nursed a greyhound who was
found in very poor shape. This greyhound
had apparently found a home in Jersey and
it turned out to be our very own....WIZ.
So of course they had to have their photo
taken:

There were other
charity stalls present and we hope they
had as enjoyable day as we did. Thank you
once to Bridget for allowing us to
attend.
