TOWNIES
FOR THE DAY!!
Once a year the
trailer and the gang venture into town to
participate in Animal Day held in the
Royal Square. It's another early start as
the trailer can't be left there over
night consequently we were up at 4.30am
and Mal hit the road about 5 to put it in
position.
It's like a
time-warp as we meet up with folk that we
saw there the previous year and haven't
seen since and will probably not see
again 'till next year. One such lady is
Dorrie, in her eighties she always
supports us and makes a point of coming
to the square.

Then who should
arrive but Angela one of Alison's latest
owners who has a little rescue whippet
called Minuit, well she stole the show,
homed with Angela just two weeks ago she
looked spectacular.

a total match made in heaven

Gump teaches Minuit
the highway code - look right, look
left!!
After a rainy
drizzly start to the day the conditions
were really good especially for the
pooches as it stayed dull which meant
plenty of people coming to see us. Lots
of holiday makers and Gump was lucky
enough to meet a Belgium lass who was
here on holidays.

to get with Princess the Afghan Hound
As usual there were
loads of kids that came over to meet the
dogs and there was a lot of interest
especially from French and German
visitors, needless to say we didn't
mention the football!!!

Little Grace over
on holidays from the U.K. took a real
shine to Gump
It really was a
good day and some of our new owners and
indeed two couples who will be taking
dogs next week came and chatted and
thankfully held a couple of pooches while
I attended to the call of nature!!!!!

with new arrival Hank and Ziggy, Gump and
Podge taking a well earned break
So another fund
raising event came to an end about 5ish
and it was home time which was quite
welcomed as it had been a long day.
We once again thank
Bridget Murphy for inviting us and Podge
wants to say a special thank you to Danny
and Trish for yet another sleep over and
we want to thank them as well for their
continued support over the years.
