ANOTHER
DEVASTATING DECISION
ARRIE - ARDMAYLE
RAGATAG
1.09.1996 -
6.10.2009

Our Arrie just a
pleasure to own. He came to us late in
his life after being in kennels for all
of it. Such a happy dog who had raced
till he was 7, far too long. We took
Arrie in December 2006 he was one of our
Christmas specials and was 10 years old.
He gave us nothing but happy times and
made us laugh with his antics. His photo
is immortalised on our trailer he will
never be forgotton. He got old and his
back end gave up on him so once again we
let our boy go with dignity.
PETER CAKES -
ECCLES
1.11.1998 TO
6.10.2009

Our brave brave boy
- in kennels for 9 years we took Eccles
on in November 2007. He also spent all
his life in a kennel and we always
remember he spent the first day here
peeing up against everything then from
that day on he was as clean as a whistle.
Never any trouble, he was such a strong
healthy dog, so when he took with a limp
earlier this year our worst fears were
confirmed, he had bone cancer.
We knew that
despite the tablets and steriods he was
in pain but he just wouldn't give up.
Every morning he would greet us wagging
his tail but when his leg buckled in the
park and he started to scream we knew we
couldn't let this go on.
Our vet came round
and let these two beautiful greyhounds go
and meet their pals on that 'oh so famous
Rainbow Bridge'. We just hope that we can
now finish this year without any more
sadness, we have lost five of our gang
this year and it has taken its toll on
us. We know that we did our best for them
and we also know they were saved from any
kind of suffering which they may have
endured had they remained in kennels but
that doesn't ease the emptiness we feel
when one of our gang goes.

Arrie and Eccles
our two lovely boys doing what they did
best!
