AND FINALLY
AND BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
We welcome our two
last homings of the year. It is not our
policy to home during December just in
case our plane gets in the way of Santa's
sleigh, but once again due to dreadful
weather we found ourselves with a backlog
in the form of a black dog to be called
Star and a brindle boy now to be known as
Duke.
Friday morning
(10th Dec) I dropped Mal off at the Aero
Club and quarter of an hour later I went
and picked him up again, drizzle and fog
had appeared out of the blue and there
was no way Chris was going to head off
due to the fact that they might not get
back. Stranded in the U.K. with two dogs
and no clean underwear was not an
option!!!
Anyway clear blue
sky greeted us today (11th Dec) and I am
pleased to say that the plane took off
firstly to pick up Star, the black boy
who has once again come from Hall Green
up there in Birmingham and yet again
delivered safe and sound to the airport
by Pat Chan, what would we do without
her.
Star in his
Christmas outfit arrives at the airport -
can we ever forgive Pat for doing this to
him!!

Star without his
silly hat on!
Next stop was
Brighton where Wintons Wolfie now to be
known as Duke was ready for the off then
home to Jersey where two very excited
families were waiting
.
Duke with the
wonderful ears borrowed off a bigger
dog!!!!
So all's well that
ends well, both boys arrived safely to a
gorgeous day and guess what not a drop of
rain or a puff of wind.

Do you think they
all look in different directions on
purpose - oh the hairy one is Kentee our
GSD
So that is our
final delivery of the year (unless you
know different).
We are thrilled to
say that this has been our record year,
homing 25 dogs in all.
This part is always
like the Oscars award I find - firstly I
would like to thank Pat Chan for bringing
Star down for us, Abi and Vanessa for
fetching Duke from the Brighton rescue
kennels and last but by no means least
Chris for piloting more dogs than people
this year.
