LAST HOMINGS OF 2008
We might not be
royalty but Greyhound Rescue Jersey flew
their last homings for this year out of
R.A.F. Lyneham.
Two more black
beauties graced our shores today in the
shape of 'Losers Group' now to be known
as Lulu and 'Castlemary Podge' now to be
called Podge.
Once again the new
arrivals travelled in style and despite a
strong head wind arrived safe and sound
at Aviation Beauport late this afternoon.
Lulu will take up
residence with Christopher and Debbie who
recently lost their greyhound Beauty.
It's been a very sad time for them both
and we hope that Lulu will fill that
awful emptiness left when you loose a
pet.
Podge, well Podge goes
to new time owners Paul, Ann and their
family. He is a young friendly dog and we
hope he will give them years of fun and
enjoyment.
We thank Sharon and
Kevin volunteers for Swindon RGT for all
their help with Lulu and advice as to her
character, she has been a weekend guest
with them for a while to give her a break
from kennels.
Our gratitude also
goes to Linda Jones of Wallaces Kennels
where Podge was a great favourite he
retired through injury at just 2 1/2
years old. Sid was good enough to bring
him down to R.A.F Lyneham and he was
delivered safely together with his
Christmas stocking.
Finally many thanks to
Simon Willing for allowing our guys to
have such a first class flight to their
new homes
