CASPER'S
CAPERS
Over the years
there have been Greyhound Rescue hounds
that have become stars in their own right
- Awesome our very own black beauty who
we sadly lost to bone cancer is one that
springs to mind, he certainly had his own
fan base. There is even a Border Terrier
in our neighbourhood named after him.
Nowadays of course
there is 'The Fonz', who draws in the
crowds with that characteristically long
nose that just nuzzles its way into the
hands of passers by and he won't let you
pass without one last fuss.
But now there is a
new star in the making...
...for those of you that haven't done so
already - meet Casper.

Casper
who raced as Hot Harry is a handsome
white and brindle lad who Helen and Phil
homed in January last year.
This
is a photo of Casper back in his kennel
days, now just a distant memory.

But
oh how things have change - he now leads
the life of a socialite with one of his
favourite outings being his weekly visit
to St Catherine's Breakwater cafe for his
Sunday sausage!
A bit like Casper the ghost, Casper
appears here, there and everywhere and we
thought we'd share some of Casper's
Capers with you.
When
Ziggy's family were away on holiday,
Casper was more than happy for his pal to
join him and his Mum on their walks...

When
Casper's Mum and Dad were away, he was
only too pleased to go and stay with Zara
and Aunty Rose...

And
fair's fair everyone else had been on
holiday, so it was only right and proper
that Casper should get away too and has
thoroughly enjoyed both Cornwall and the
Lake District...

So
what's next after a relaxing holiday?
Well one must keep themselves in shape
you know...

After
becoming quite the celebrity it seemed
the obvious choice that the 'main man'
should become the face of Greyhound
Rescue. So don't be suprised if you see
Casper driving past your door...

And
just when you thought that one hound
could not become anymore famous, or make
us and his parents any more proud, he
came 2nd in the KCOJ Summer Sizzler best
rescue competition.
Well
done Casper, you really are a star!
