THE
GANG ENTERTAIN ST. OUENS CUBS
Well these
cubs wouldn't have needed the 'camp fire'
for our visit to them on the 28th
September, Jersey is witnessing a mini
heat wave and St. Ouen's was looking
idealic as we arrived at the Cub House,
This isn't
the first time Alison and I have given
one of our talks for Dave and his pack
but it is the first time little Milo the
lurcher has attended. Alison, as many of
you know, works closely with us and has
done for years but also has her own
charity Sighthound Rescue Jersey which
rescues whippets and lurchers. So you get
two for the price of one if you ask us to
do an assembly.

Left Milo
and Wiz and poking out from the back is
Lewis
Also
attending for the first time, and the
only 'gal' in the gang was little Fern
seen here with some of the cubs and being
looked after by Gump who reckons he's a
dab-hand at this now.

Dave (Pack
leader) seen here with Gump and Fern
To the left
of Dave is a little boy called William.
When we came he was absolutely terrified
of the dogs, but their calming nature won
him over and by the end of the evening he
was quite happy to be amongst them and
stroking them. We often get approached by
parents of children who are somewhat wary
of dogs as the greyhound has such a
placid temprement it sometimes builds the
confidence of the child with dogs and we
are only too pleased to do this.

The whole
pack seen here with Fonz, Milo, Gump
Lewis, Fern and Wiz
We would
like to thank the kids for their kind
donation and we hope to see them all
again soon.
