DILLY
- LITTLE BARRISTER
26.07.1995 -
17.02.2010

Dilly aka Little
Barrister, our little girl so aptly named
as she was indeed a 'law unto herself'.
Dilly came to join
us in January 2008 having been found
beside her owner who had died over the
Christmas period of 2007.
Dilly was under the
impression that she was the same size as
a Rottweiler when in fact she was one of
the smallest greyhounds around. She had
the most amazing spirit and indeed kept
our gang in order and they had a great
deal of respect for her.
She taught them to
sing when the telephone rung thus you
couldn't hear the person on the other
end, indeed this legacy is now with us
forever and as irritating as it is we
will always think of Dilly when the phone
rings.
Dilly just got old,
she wasn't ill, in fact in the 2 years
and 1 month we had her she was never
poorly and at nearly 15 would have been
fine if her body hadn't worn out.
She leaves us at a
time when we are trying to let folk know
the delight of owning an 'oldie' even if
it is for a very short time. We loved her
so much for the couple of years she was
with us and are so grateful that we could
make her last years comfortable and fun.
Once again there is
a sadness in our house as we come to
terms with the loss of another of our
gang.
