& Dilly's arrival.

WHO WEARS THE DOG COLLAR IN THE BROWNING
FAMILY!!!!!!!
Having
nearly completed his term as Pastor at
the Methodist church in the Island of
Sark, Roger and his wife Jehanne are now
in the process of moving back to
Guernsey.
Their
move incorporates a new addition, namely
Smartie the greyhound, seen above with
Jehanne and daughter Frances upon his
arrival at Guernsey airport on the 6th
February, 2008.
With
Roger a former dog handler in the police
force before taking up his post as Pastor
and Jehanne a former veterinary nurse, we
know that Smartie will be in very safe
hands.
All
at Greyhound Rescue Jersey, which both
Roger, Jehanne and of course Smartie a
long and happy retirement.
Of
course we couldn't have Smartie travel on
his own, so the Greyhound Sanctuary
welcome Dilly a 13 year old fawn bitch to
their clan. We were hoping that our
darling Paris and Dilly would become
bookends, but alas this is not to be as
many of you will know Paris was taken
from us so suddenly with a suspected
tumour on her back.
We
don't have a history on Dilly as her
records would have been destroyed by now
with her being so old. All we do
know is that she was found on the bed
beside her owner who had died on
Christmas Day. She is thought to
have been there a few days. Thanks
to Sue Kirkham who fosters mostly elderly
dogs with problems, she has been cared
for since she was found and has gained
her lost weight and now, we hope, will
enjoy her twilight years with us.
