What's it
all about Alfie?
What's
it all about indeed - it's about a lovely
couple called Tracey and Chris
giving a three year old retired
greyhound a life after racing. It's
about them taking the trouble to come
over to Jersey to visit our dogs at the
Sanctuary and assuring themselves that
this was the dog for them. It's
about 9 greyhounds who have
started new lives in the Channel
Islands this year.
I've
waited a life time to use that famous
line and today is the day.
Alfie, definitely as handsome as
the young Michael Caine when he
starred in that famous
movie, touched down in sunny
Guernsey last week to be greeted by
Tracey and Chris and one of his new
sisters English setter Anna. Ellie
the golden retriever waited till they got
back home before jumping all over her new
brother. Tracey and Chris have
bought a van especially for their pooches
and I am sure we will receiving
regular updates on how all are doing.
It's
been an amazing start to 2008 and we hope
it will continue throughout the rest of
the year.
