ST.
SAVIOUR'S PARISHIONERS ARE 'BLOWN AWAY'
BY THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF GUMP

Gump greets his
public from the trailer
Well blown away
would be one way of describing Saturday's
Focus on Mental Health fete at St. Paul's
football field at St. Saviour. Whether
this was the tail end of yet another
American hurrican who knows but the gusts
were up to 35mph at times. Even so folk
turned up to see the dogs and meet Gump
our new Sanctuary dog who was making his
debut.
Despite having to
run after merchandise and rescue falling
boards the day went very well and some of
our owners we hadn't seen for a while
came to visit. Heidi with her two girls
and Enrie their big black greyhound spent
some time with us which was lovely as we
hadn't seen Enrie since the sponsored
walk last year.

Heidi's little girls chats to Malarky
Of course ever
since Casper had his picture immortilised
on the trailer he reckons it belongs to
him and makes sure that mum Helen brings
him up to all the events so as he can
keep an eye on it.
Glenn and Mandy
always bring Dev up and he is getting far
better at the shows now as he has always
been a bit nervous but when he is with
the gang he is a lot braver.

by the desperate look on his face

On the right Danny
and Trish with the beautiful Billy who
have been good friends and supporters for
many years

Helen introduces
Gump and Malarky to Madeleine a little
lady who paid us a visit
As it was Gump's
first appearance the gang had to show him
the ropes and we took him round to meet
various other breeds of dogs and other
animals that were at the fete - he was a
good lad and seemed to take it all in his
stride mind you when he got home his head
hit the pillow, and might I add that's my
pillow on my bed, and we didn't have a
peep out of him 'till morning.

Lauryn introduces
Gump to a Jersey cow
Finally, as always,
we have our hula hoop winner who we are
pleased to say lives in the parish of St.
Saviour. We had some very good hula
hooping today and a few lads tried it out
and were very good, but ultimately the
prize went to Jamima, once again very
well done.

Well it looks like
we have come to the end of our outdoor
events for the year. We have had a few
new venues and hope that we will be
invited to attend again next summer.
Hopefully we have a couple of indoor
shows to finish off the year so do keep
an eye on our front page for details.
The Christmas cards
are going quickly so don't forget to get
in touch if you would like to purchase
some. One of our owners in Alderney has
designed some Xmas cards for us so they
will hopefully be on site within the next
week.
Once again we would
like to thank everyone who has turned up
at our events during the year and
supported us. The Foire de Jersey and
West Show are back again next year so
watch out for us.
