GREYHOUNDS
AND LURCHERS HAVE THEIR OWN ITEX WALK
Wow what an
absolutely amazing day this turned out to
be. After months of arranging the
GREAT BRITISH
GREYHOUND WALK
it was actually
going to happen.
Under blue skys and
a welcoming wind for the dogs, 78
greyhounds and lurchers accumulated at
West Park for what can only be called the
most successful walk we have ever done.
This event was
taking place all over Britain at 43
various venues and at 10.00am our walk
and every other walk set off. It felt
terrific to be part of such a huge event.
We had been approached a few months ago
by a lady called Janet Peacock who was
responsible for getting this event
underway. If she gets positive feedback
from all participants then this may well
become and annual event - we will keep
you posted.

Away we go, Casper,
Misty, Jake, Lucha, Littlewoods, Quinn
and Olive lead the way

Alison and I
breathing a sigh of relief as we begin
our walk to Bel Royal and back

The Buard family
escort Xena, Hawk, Podge and O.B all
looking gorgeous in their posh flag coats
There was talk on
Channel TV of Podge lending his muzzle to
World Football Cup player Rooney!!!!

What is the term
for a whole load of greyhounds, answers
on a postcard please!!!
There was a couple
of pit stops along the way for water and
of course when the dogs reached Bel
Royal, Jude, Alison's mum was there with
plenty more. When people finished the
walk they all came into the People's Park
where our trailer was, some brought
picnics and some were just content to sit
and talk 'dog'.

The end of a very
successful walk
So many people to
thank, our owners, our sponsors, New Era
Veterinary Hospital, Royal Canine foods,
but most of all OUR DOGS.
