The first new arrivals of 2008.

Ruby, Casper and Bella.

After a false start due to fog early this morning, Mal left at lunch time to bring back three new additions to the greyhound population.

Firstly there was Ruby a mere youngster of only 19 months. Unfortunately her home didn't work out.  Although Ruby was cat friendly, good with other dogs and good on a lead her new family had a few problems with house training.  She was clean through the night and most of the day but did have accidents when they were out in the afternoon.  It was for this reason that they gave her up after 3 weeks - it is such a shame as sometimes house training can take a little longer than anticipated.  Anyway we have decided to keep her at the Sanctuary and are pleased to report she has settled well and toilet problems are a thing of the past.  She is a delightful puppy and we look forward to everyone meeting her at our many outings arranged for the summer months.

Casper will hopefully help fill the gap left by Basil, Helen and Phil's greyhound who sadly had to be put to sleep just before Christmas at the age of 15.

AND THERE'S MORE.................... BUT NOT TODAY!!!
