LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION.

This is Cate with Fonz and Padz last summer.

Some of you who are regular visitors to our site might have read about Cate Hamilton a local artist.  We are in awe of her talent and are pleased to say that she has agreed to design Greyhound Rescue some notelets and Christmas cards.  Cate wanted to take some action shots so on Wednesday 12th March we all piled into the 'new van' and met up at St. Brelade's beach.  The tide took forever to turn and when eventually there was a bit of beach the storms had taken away so much sand it was all stoney and there was no way any of the gang could have run they would have torn their pads to bits.

Ruby & Silks fascinated by the foam and Rio & Silks who just love to play.

Next stop was Ouaisne, just walking was an effort and like all planned events something always has to go wrong and this was no exception.  We let O.B. off first, he decided it was far more interesting in the car park and took off up the slipway.  Of course greyhounds, not reknowned for their stamina, was totally exhausted by the time he came back on to the beach and wouldn't run at all.  Next went Fonz, he did oblige but only till he found nice smells in the seaweed and decided just to potter.  Third time lucky we thought - it was Malarky's turn.  Now Malarky will only run when he has a ball, so a ball he had, bad move, he proceeded to run off with it to the other side of the beach and did not return until he had lost it in the waves.  All in all it was lucky that any photos got taken at all.  The only luck was that just as we got back into 'the van' the heavens opened phew!!!!!!

So while this project is very much 'still in progress' we can't wait to see the finished results, but in the meantime we will share some of the photos from our morning, we particularly like the flying Fonz below!

Many thanks to Cate.
