THE
KIDS FROM MONT-A-L'ABBE SCHOOL PAY THE
SANCTUARY DOGS A VISIT
Brian one of our
recent greyhound owners (beautiful fawn
boy called Flex) works with some of the
kids from Mont-a-L'Abbe school and he and
Denise paid us a visit on Saturday with
four of the children who have learning
difficulties and were on respite. Malarky
and I have met them before as when Jane
and P.A.T. dog Kent are on their
holidays, Malarky and I stand in for
them. Malarky has 'P.A.T dogged' up there
quite a few times and James in particular
remembered him.

James with Gump who
hopefully will become a PAT dog next year
- that's if he ever gets his butt off the
sofa!!!
It's so good to see
these kids interact with the greyhounds
and because of the calmness of this breed
the children seemed quite confident with
them.

Bronte gives
Malarky a somewhat 'tight cuddle' but he
takes it all in his stride
Now Rachael has had
dogs of her own so she was really relaxed
with Gump and Rio

Rachael has a
serious word with Gump

Big cuddles for Rio
who due to his epilepsy has now retired
from his P.A.T. dog duties
Christiano was
equally relaxed with the gang and opted
to have his photo taken in front of Gump
and Rio

Christiano sits on
the floor while Gump and Rio share the
sofa!!!
Our apologies to
Brian for not including a picture of him
in this article but if you'd have seen
the couple of photos of you, believe you
me you would be thanking me. Anyway
instead we feature his colleague Denise

Fonz also a P.A.T.
dog shares a moment and also his fur with
Denise!
The kids spent a
good hour with us and they seemed to
really enjoy the time with the dogs. We
are always happy to help some of these
special kids overcome their apprehension
with dogs and Rio, Malarky and Fonz have
been registered P.A.T. dogs for about 3
years now and hopefully Gump will join
them when he has passed his assessment
and can remain verticle for long enough!!
