NO
19 FLIES INTO GUERNSEY
The weather man
told fibs yesterday, he said we couldn't
pick up our 19th homing of the year but
the sky cleared after some torrential
rain and we needn't have cancelled.
Anyway today proved successful and new
owner Catherine was nearly in tears when
Gypsy arrived. Apparently she is a bit of
a live wire at only just 2 years old and
was quite insistant that she wanted to
help Chris navigate the plane without her
pilot's licence!!
Anyway once again
arrival in Guernsey went without a hitch
and Mick and Jean with Amber were there
and Tracey, Alfie's mum came to collect
her Christmas cards and gave us some
beautiful flowers as she knew we had lost
Arrie and Eccles our boys on Tuesday. It
will be lovely to have all these flowers
for Open Day on Sunday and I know Arrie
was particularly fond of flowers but he
liked to eat them!

Gypsy upon arrival
at Guernsey she is definately a bit of a
pickle
We have had a few
events in the past week, Fonz and Malarky
joined the PAT dog team on Saturday for a
walk through St. Helier.

Just waiting for
the rest of the PAT team to turn up

PAT dogs Fonz and
Malarky meet Matilda
I don't think Malarky could quite believe
it!!
With our outdoor
fetes coming to and end we are once again
continuing our awareness talks which we
usually put on hold during the summer
months and our first this autumn were a
group of Beavers at Le Creux at St.
Brelade. Elvis and Gump made their first
appearances and took it all in their
stride although Gump, being so tall, was
staring our of the window and managed to
focus on some pheasants in the field
nearby.
I forgot to take
the camera (lose brownie points or is it
beaver points) anyway Sue the lady in
charge had her phone camera with her so
she sent us these to put on site.

Fonz, Malarky,
Gump, Elvis and Wiz await their audience

The Beaver's team
listen (well I hope they were listening!)
to our awareness talk

If the kids answer
some of our questions correctly they get
to stand up and help us.
Obviously our
winter schedule is not so hectic as
spring through autumn but we are always
available for talks so just give us a
ring on 742619 or email us if there is
anything we can do for you with regard to
awareness.
Our Open Day is on
Sunday but I would ask you all to bear
with Mal and I as this is a particularly
sad time with the passing of Eccles and
Arrie still we hope that there will be a
good turn out. See you there.
