SOMETHING OLD
SOMETHING NEW
Today saw the
arrival of Amber and Roxy. The 'old'
refers to previous owners Mick and Jean
Broughton (not that they are old!!!!) who
were our first homing in Guernsey way
back in October 2000 when we delivered
Ruby a fawn greyhound to them. Ruby
proved to be a constant companion to Mick
and when they lost her just last year at
the grand old age of 12 1/2 years there
was a very large gap in their lives
especially Mick.
So on doctors
orders we have now found Amber a four
year old brindle bitch to share his life
again and indeed Jean's and labradoodle
Burley lives. We eagerly await Mick's
rather silly letters telling us of
Amber's antics.

Secondly
bring on the 'new' this relates to first
time owners Alistair and Claire. We have
given them a very small blue bitch who we
believe will be known as Roxy. We have
been assured that she is a 'first time
owner' pooch with low mileage so we do
hope that this is the case. Alistair and
Clare have met up with a couple of our
Guernsey owners and hopefully they can
share some walks together and give them
some backup. Once again we hope to
receive updates on how Roxy is.

Roxy

Roxy and Amber meet
for the first time before boarding the
plane to start their new lives.

Mick take charge of their new family
members
Well once
again we thank Nigel for bringing Roxy
down from Hall Green and for Pat Chan for
her advice, to Ann for bringing Amber
from Sittingbourne to Sonia and of course
Vin for flying 'the gals' to their new
homes. Watch this space for the next two
arrivals hopefully at the end of this
month.
