OPEN
DAY 2011
Peter was
made very welcome by Gump, Star and Rio
Well a big
sigh of relief was witnessed at the
Sanctuary yesterday as a few weeks ago I
discovered that our first Open Day of the
year clashed with Mother's Day. Convinced
no-one would be coming to see us I had
resigned myself to eating all the sweets
I put out myself!!
How wrong
can you be, just before 11 our first
family arrived and there was a steady
flow of people throughout the day. It was
perfect weather wise dry no wind, which
equals no muddy feet nor wet dogs always
a bonus.
Unfortunately
Alison was on an afternoon shift so
couldn't make it but sent us all the best
damm work does get in the way!!
There were
plenty of familiar faces Peter being one
of them. He had sneaked in with some
sausages in his pocket and was mobbed by
some of the guys
Ziggy and
Gump leave Peter after finishing their
sausages but Star just had to lick his
fingers to make sure they had all gone
We then met
Nicky and Joseph with their little baby
Ollie, well he just had to have his photo
taken with Malarky just loved the guys
and they were so gentle with him
Ollie and
Malarky greet each other Eskimo fashion
Has that
got the ahhhhh factor or what!!
Joshua with
our little shy girl Quinn
I think
Josuha's dad would have left a lot
earlier had Josh not decided to share a
bed firstly with Quinn and later with
Fonz who lay his head on his and conked
out.
The day
just flew by and once again was a total
success. This is the first of our events
for 2011 there are plenty more so keep
your eyes on our front page so as you
will know where we are.
Once again
