  SANTA'S LITTLE HELPERS

Gump and Fonz

Yesterday saw us at the Town Hall for the Association of Jersey Charities Christmas Fayre. With the amazing weather I think Santa suffered a bit in his costume and was pleased to have the assistance of Gump and Fonz who once again proved a hit with everyone there.

Just some of the kids who I think reckoned Fonz and Gump were reindeers

There was a steady flow of people all day and we sold a lot of magic Reindeer seed for the kids to scatter for the 'big day' on the 25th December. There was a great atmosphere and the whole day seemed to fly by.

Peter with Gump and Fonz

The lovely fact about being in town is that lots of our friends and supporters always turn up to say hi and Peter and Sue called in much to the delight of the guys as Peter had a pocket full of sausages which made him flavour of the day. Poor Sue had to do her shopping alone as Peter got waylaid by the boys (not that he objected)

As if sausages weren't enough, they seemed to have multiple cup cakes and Fonz pinched Alison's carrot cake plus some mince pies, mind you not the filling, as that is not good for our canine pals. I did imagine I might get many happy returns on the carpet in the evening but all stayed down phew!!!!

So is this the last event of the year, well who knows, I seem to have quite a few packets of Christmas cards left so maybe, just maybe, we will have to find another venue to sell some - watch this space!

Unfortunately Alison, back from Guernsey just the night before, was full of cold and Hilary, well she had a really bad shoulder. Wishing them both speedy recoveries. Alison is off to the U.K. on Monday to bring back a Baby Nog look alike. Yep there is a 7 month whippet in need of a loving home so take a look at her site for details.

Thanks to Lyn Wilton of the Association of Jersey Charities for inviting us to attend this event.
