Despite
enjoying their lazy, not so summery days,
the famous trio decided to don their kit
bags and head back to school for the
autumn term.
First stop
was Bel Royal. This time we visited
individual classes. So far we have met
Year 1 and Year 3 who all listened
attentively to what we had to say. They
also asked many questions and were keen
to find out all about greyhounds.
As ever the
time passed far too quickly and we hope
the children enjoyed our visit, learning
all about greyhounds as well as the
responsibility and commitment involved in
owning a dog.
Our second
school visit was to St Michael's where we
visited George's Year 1 class. George's
Mum and Dad have recently adopted Ziggy
so George knew the answer to many of our
questions.
At the end
of our talk we always ask the children if
they have any questions they would like
to ask us. We had to smile when one child
asked 'Why do dogs have to go to the
toilet outside?! Well thank goodness they
do, you can just imagine - 17 greyhounds
and a german shepherd in the house - it
would be like living in a toilet!
Many thanks
to both schools for allowing us to
attend, we thoroughly enjoy bringing the
dogs into school to meet the children and
are always grateful for the opportunity.

Roadshow to your school or organisation
