TODAY
WE SCORED A SCORE
The arrival today
of Cent, Kelly and Nog, gave us a total
for the year of 20 dogs here in the
Channel Islands. These three, all from
Hall Green in Birmingham, will be staying
here in Jersey.
This delivery
didn't go without a slight hic-cup. First
thing this morning the weather was
telling us 'no trip' then much to our
amazement it cleared and off Mal and
Chris went. Well pay back time came about
two when they should have been back but I
got a phone call saying they had had to
land in Alderney and were awaiting the
fog at the airport to clear. Multiple
calls the new owners to tell them not to
leave home yet but then a call from Mal
to say they were going for it. Thankfully
they got in mind you you couldn't see the
spire on St. Peter's Church, bit of a
worry. Anyway all back safe and sound.
Firstly we welcome
Cent a black and white boy who thought
racing was a mugs game so refused to do
it. At only just over two years old he is
taking up residence with Felicity and
Ferrando at St. Clement.

The handsome Cent
Do I see a little
pickle on that face!!!
Our second arrival
is Kelly the most beautiful blue gal who
after 51 races was taken off the track
she is only 3 1/2 years old. She is going
to find a sofa to lay on with Helen and
Richard at Grouville and hopefully have a
wonderful retirement.

Kelly now to be
renamed Blue
Do they have a
doggy Vogue magazine!!
Finally little, or
not so little, Nog, why the name well he
is the colour of egg-nog. We first saw
this boy on Hall Green a couple of weeks
ago. Reading his description we just knew
he would have trouble finding a home.
With so many outgoing guys no-one is
going to pick a shy lad who seems
frightened of most things, no-one that is
except us! I know we are beyond help.
Anyway we discussed it with the gang and
they reckon they can make Nog a braver
boy without having to send him to the
Wizard of Oz.

Our little Nog
Poor Nog has chosen
a corner to lay in far away from everyone
he is terrified, it breaks your heart to
think of what they must have put him
through to make him race. It will be a
long job and maybe he will only graduate
to the sunlounge as did our lovely Flynn
but he is safe with us and we are so
pleased we have brought him here.

Our painfully timid
little Nog
So another mission
completed with the help, once again, of
Pat at Hall Green and the wonderful Chris
and the little blue plane that he managed
to land despite not being able to see the
ground!!!!!
Will there be
another delivery before Christmas 'watch
this space'
