TWO BONNIE LASSES TAKE TO THE HIGH ROAD

Jess and Coco prior to leaving Scotland

We are not sure if Route de Noirmont is a high road or a low road but it leads to Geoff's and Di's home which is where these two beauties are to start their new life.

Geoff and Di have had two of our greyhounds, Zee Zee Bling who they lost last year and Tolly who passed away just a couple of months ago. Try as they may to have a 'dog free' home for a while to catch up on a holiday or two, it wasn't to be they desperately missed their canine pals and decided that they would go for a 'pair'.

Pairs of dogs are generally hard to home and a lot of the time have to be separated so we were thrilled that we could find a couple of gals that had been together for a long time and needed to be homed together - only problem was they were up in Scotland!!!

To the rescue Jackie's husband Jim,Jackie being part of the Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary where Connie (now Coco) and Jess were from. On Tuesday both dogs were brought down to Sue Tipton of Shropshire and Borders RGT by Jim and they boarded there until today when Mal and our notorious pilot Chris went to pick them up.

So what can we say, no journey too long or impossible we have now brought dogs from all over the U.K. to find happier lives here in the Channel Islands.

Di takes charge of new family

Being in Jersey does sometimes make travel arrangements difficult and needless to say expensive and in this case we would like to thank Jackie and Yvonne of Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary for finding Coco and Jess for us, Jim for travelling down to make collecting them easier, Sue Tipton and her husband Malcolm for looking after the 'gals' till we could get over and bringing them to the airport, and yep, you've guessed it, our very own Jimmy Edwards look-a-like Chris our pilot we now reckon he has more greyhounds in his plane that people these days!!

Lucky number 13 should be arriving within the next couple of weeks so keep logging on to read his story.

SEE YOU ALL IN THE ROYAL SQUARE SATURDAY 30TH JULY
