What can we say
about the Nicholas family - mother Donna
Veterinary Nurse Supreme - Stephen who
last year sacrificied two years of hair
growth and was publically shawn just for
us, and now, not to be outdone by her
brother, Sam jumps out of a plane for
us!!!!! mad the lot of them.
After a false start
two weeks ago the weather was perfect for
Sam's jump and a load of our owners and
pooches met up at the Gunsite to cheer
her on.

Unfortunately there
was an hours delay but that was fine as
it gave our owners a chance to catch up
and discuss greyhound tactics!

Eventually we could
hear the plane coming over and a speck
appeared in the sky and there was our Sam
floating down to earth - mum Donna had
smoked a packet of ciggies by this time
and had the offer of a vodka been around
no doubt she would have drunk the bottle.

Just like to add
that Alison couldn't be with us as she
was on the mainland collecting a little
old stray whippet x who, due to total
neglect, is suffering from terminal
cancer. This little girl will at least
spend what time she has left cared for
and comfortable. To fetch this little
mite was not a difficult decision to make
but there will be a lot of sadness. You
can't rescue them all but we hope that we
do help in our own small way. Well done
