  TWO SAD TAILS!!!!

Today saw the arrival of two little gals who haven't had the best start in life. Firstly little Misty, as she is to be known from now on, only 2 1/2 years old and placed in a home only to be returned after 5 weeks as the owner discovered she was 6 months pregnant - and the reason is!!!!!! We are so pleased that we had a phone call from Guernsey just this previous Sunday from a couple with a little rescue gal Molly and a cat called Bessie. Luck would have it that Misty had spent time, albeit short, with a cat so Andy got the home check done on Monday and here we are delivery today. Sometimes we get lucky and in this event little Misty has been too. Once again Pat made the journey from Hall Green to meet Mal.

At the same time Sue Tipton from Shropshire and Borders had had two little black gals in. People had taken them to the pound saying they had been found as strays (doubtful probably just wanted rid). Anyway they were on borrowed time and a call to Sue allowed her to save these two beauties. Jet had found a home and now Josie renamed Willow is to join Charley, Kirsty their other greyhound Zorro and the rest of the kids. This is both a happy and sad day as a few weeks ago their other greyhound Summer, a beautiful little 4 year old, broke her back in the freak accident on the beach nothing could be done, everyone was devastated. We are so pleased that they have decided to take on another dog as even with the sadness of this tragedy it has allowed another unwanted greyhound to find happiness.

So another trip comes to an end and what an absolutely perfect day for what is quite a long journey. Chris once again took us to Birmingham, Shropshire and Guernsey but still got everyone back in time for tea. We thank Pat and Margaret for bringing 'the gals' down safely. So with homings for the year now up to 8 we look forward to number 9.
