XENA &
BILLY BLUE
Hi Mal,
I thought I would send two pictures to
you of our boy and girl.
Our little girl was bemused by all the
white stuff in the garden but stayed out
to investigate.
Our little boy on the other hand is now
onto his third bed.
Somehow he never looks guilty.
Hope all is well with your gang.
I will try to join you at the weekend for
a walk all being well.
See you both soon
Dan

Xena snow
queen, not warrior princess we think. As
for Billy Blue, well butter wouldn't
melt!!

A letter from
RUFUS
Dear Malcolm,
Thank you so much
for sending me to live with these
people - I still can't believe how
different life here is compared to the
kennels. My day usually starts
just after 6 when Mum gets up and takes
me for a walk. I don't like to go in the
rain, and refused to go out the gate
Friday morning when it was particularly
wet. But she understood.
When we get back,
Mum gets the lunches ready and then feeds
the family breakfast. This is really
yummy and I get so excited, I jump up in
the air - all four feet at once! Mum has
nicknamed me Tigger because of my
markings and the fact that I go boing,
boing, boing! Then they all go to
work and school, and whilst I did worry
at first, I still have Nana and Grandad
for company and they let me out all the
time and cuddle me on the settee in their
front room so it's all right. They also
have some tasty treats which I get each
time I've been outside.
Natasha comes home first,
and she plays with me and cuddles me in
front of the TV. Then Dad comes home and
makes a fuss of me and makes lots of nice
smells in the kitchen. I lie on my grey
furry bed just outside the kitchen, and
he lets me have little tasters of what
ever he's making - yum! I get more tasty
tea, and once it's gone down a bit, Mum
takes me for a second longer walk. I get
more tasty treats for being good. Then we
have lots of cuddles on the settee in the
evening, before going to bed. I was a bit
naughty when they tried to make me sleep
on the landing, and kept leaving Mum
little parcels, but now they let me sleep
in a corner of their room and Mum lets me
out just once each night. Some nights I
let her sleep right through to the alarm.
But she never wants to play at 4 am. I
can't understand why, but there you go!
The pictures show me
lying on my bed by the kitchen. Along
with some of the slippers and toys that
I've "tidied up" for them. I'm
learning to play "tug'o'war"
with my pully, and the slippers! Mum and
Dad have told Natasha that I can keep one
of her socks and slippers as she doesn't
use them any more. They are great for
throwing in the air and pretending to
kill! Grrr! I must go now, but
will write again soon (with Mum and
Natasha's help!).
Thanks once again Licks
and wags Rufus

Floyd
- homed May 07
We were delighted to receive an
email from Andy, Gill and their gang
letting us know that they have all
settled well in Plymouth. Floyd was homed
with them whilst they were living in
Guernsey back in 2007. We wish them all
well and have enjoyed seeing the photos
of Floyd in his new home with his canine
family.

Rufus - homed January 09
Hi Malcolm and Gail,
As we have only had him a week, there
aren't many shots as yet, but this shows
him investigating the kitchen and having
a cuddle with his new sister Natasha on
the settee. He really is a lovely
dog with a wonderful temperament. We
count ourselves very lucky to have him.
Thanks very much. It's time he was
introduced to the cliff paths, so we must
go! We'll send some more photos
next weekend.
Regards Mich, Lizzie, Natasha and
Rufus
Thanks for the
update, glad to see Mr Handsome is
settling in well.

Casper the holiday hound!
Lucky
boy Casper has recently been on his
holidays to the Lake District with his
Mum and Dad. The owners of his holiday
home had greyhounds too, so he was
amongst friends. It was a bit chilly, and
as you can see Casper looks very smart in
his polo neck sweater - he looks warm and
toasty!

Ben - homed 2004

Hello
everyone,
We
promised Gail and Malcolm a pictured of
Ben (homed with us in 2004 and now eight
years old) and Jake, our blue and gold
macaw. It has taken time for us to feel
brave enough to have them loose in the
same room, but Ben gets a special treat
every time Jake's cage is opened and
Jake gets his own special treat - a
walnut in its shell - when he goes back
into his cage. Today, there was a clang
and there was Jake marching around
proudly on top of his cage, large as life
and twice as natural. Ben was
as good as gold and ran straight to the
kitchen for his treat and then went and
lay down near me ...although you can
see he was still keeping a weather eye
open in case a bolt-cropper beak got too
near! Love to you all and all our
four-legged friends,
From Peter, Elaine,
Ben ... and Jake

Paddy - homed September

Hi all
Well you know who this
is, you know what he does (not much) and
you know is is just happy soul and a joy
to be around. It's Paddy! Kids love
him, adults love him, cats don't really
like him (but he doesn't like them
either!) but most of all we love him and
wouldn't be without him. Thanks to
you both for bringing us such happiness
xx
Hope all is well.
Take care Shane, Noush,
Holly, Elly, Lennon and Paddy xxxxx

attention of Jersey cows!!. I think he
likes his new life, what do you think??
Thank you for changing his and our lives
for the better
thanks Glenn and Mandy xx
Hope
you don't mind Glenn and Mandy, we have
also added 'the stand off' photo with the

Willy - homed June 08

Hi
We have enclosed a couple of pictures of
Willy which show how well he is settling
in. I remember you saying that
sometimes the dogs become
puppy-like. Willy certainly has,
pinching shoes, towels, umbrellas, in
fact anything. We don't mind, it's
good fun and a pleasure to see him so
happy. Thank you for all your help.

Barney - homed April 08

Hi Malcolm
Thought you might be interested to see
these photos of Barney. He has settled in
really well and has been a lot of fun. He
enjoys playing with his toys in the
garden, and spends a lot of his time
lying on his bed with his legs in the
air!

Teddy - homed June 07

Dear Malcolm, Gail and
Ally
Hope all is well with you all, looks as
though its been a busy time judging by
the website!
I put a couple of pictures of Teddy on
greyhound data.
http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=1385345
I didn't change the first
photo as that's the day he travelled to
Jersey! As you can see he's come leaps
and bounds and loves the sand dunes!!
Take care
