FROM THE
LAND THAT BROUGHT US......
SHIRLEY
BASSEY, TOM JONES AND DUFFY
May we
introduce you to:-
RONNIE AND
ROXY
(no they
are not from Eastenders wrong colour
hair!!)

These 'gals'
originally bred in Ireland are both only
just two years old and as with so many
others decided that racing round a track
was not for them - unlucky for their
trainer - lucky for Sarah and Colin their
new owners in Guernsey.
Mal and Chris were
flying to Wales to pick these two black
beauties up, a new venue for them and of
course a new 'fry up and bacon buttie' to
sample and I am informed they were not as
good as the ones they have in Birmingham.
It was a lovely day
when they 'set sail' albeit cold, all was
on schedule, but gradually as the day
progressed the weather deteriorated until
it was pouring with rain with a couple of
bolts of thunder for good measure. Having
said that they were back at 2pm.
Tracey with Alfie
was meeting Mal at Guernsey airport to
collect her Christmas cards, Andy with
his gang turned up and of course Mick,
Jean and the beautiful Amber and that
never ending supply of books - it goes
without saying that Sarah and Colin were
there and so excited to meet the new
members of their family.
So there you go
another two dogs saved from the horror of
cold kennels and a long winter, how I
hate the thought of any dogs in rescue
centres at this time of the year.
This is our first
dealings with Rescued Racers and we would
like to thank Liz and indeed Sam for
bringing the girls down to the airport
and indeed fostering them until it was
time to come over.
Chris what can we
say yet another 'Oscar' for your shelf
with our many thanks on it.
IS THIS THE
LAST DELIVERY THIS YEAR? MAYBE, MAYBE
NOT, ONCE AGAIN...
