A
WEEKEND OF DOUBLES
TWO DAYS AT THE
WEST SHOW FOLLOWED BY TWO NEW HOMINGS
Saturday and Sunday
saw us at the West Show an event held
bi-annually and one that we have been
part of for a good few years.
Needless to say we
hold our breath as we so need the weather
to be dry. Well Saturday was a scorcher,
I think every participant was drained by
the end of the day, but the crowds were
amazing and the attention fantastic. We
take no credit for this, it is always
down to our dogs and attending this years
show were Fonz and Malarky, always so
popular and really old hands at this fair
lark now, newcomers Gump, such a firm
favourite with the crowds, Ziggy and the
only girl Silks. Alison brought the Wiz
kid up and Teague a little whippet boy
who had just arrived on Friday and needs
a home to call his own.

Jessie helped us
out by holding on to Silks, Gump and
Ziggy whilst a call of nature was
made!!!! Thanks Jess
Sunday started with
heavy drizzle but thankfully by about
10ish the sky had cleared and we were off
to a flying start. It was a cooler day
but still the public continued to turn up
and our stand received an incredible
amount of attention.

Ellie and Aiden
took a shine to our Malarky who just
lapped up the cuddles

Jessie takes charge
once again and Alice looks a little
bemused by it all whilst James get to
know Gump
So once again the
West Show came to an end under sunny
skies and hopefully we will be back up
there in 2012. We thank the organisers of
this show for once again inviting us and
of course it goes without saying, but I
will say it anyway! Our sincere thanks to
our owners, helpers and members of the
public who year after year, event after
event, are always there for us.
READ ON !!!!
ALDERNEY HERE WE
COME FOR THE THIRD TIME
Did that horrid
black sky and pouring rain stop our trip
to pick up two new pooches, no not at
all, once again our trusted pilot Chris
got us airbourne for a longer trip than
usual.

Tyford Lady
First stop was to
Essex where Tyford Lady a little black
bitch was to be collected from Clarks
Farm. She had been brought down from
Durham earlier last week and although she
doesn't know it yet, life is just about
to begin for this little girl with
Rosalind and Charles. This will be our
third homing in Alderney, previously we
homed a fawn bitch called Fern in 2006
and more recently in 2008, Ceilidh went
to live with Dee the lady who made our
wonderful Christmas cards last year and
hopefully will be doing so again this
year, but hey lets not talk winter.

Hank
Next stop was
Shropshire where Sue Tipton of Shropshire
and Borders RGT had very kindly kennelled
Hank until we could come and fetch him.
He's going to live with Lesley, Tony and
the cat. He is only a youngster and in
need of some TLC as he looks a little
neglected after his time in the pound
with a bit of spit and polish he will
make a super dog, he's not yet 2 so
hopefully his sad beginning will become a
thing of the past.

Sue Tipton says her
goodbyes to Lady and Hank

Hank and Lady
settle on their duvet in the plane ready
to start new and happier lives in the
Channel Islands
So there you go a
busy few days but all delivered safe and
sound. Next will be Animal Day at the
Royal Square on the 31st of this month
and hopefully another homing for Jersey
sometime during that week.
OUR THANKS TO
ALISON WAGGOT FOR FINDING THE LITTLE
BLACK BITCH FOR US (OWNERS HAVEN'T
DECIDED ON A NAME YET) TO STEVE COBB AT
CLARKS FARM FOR KENNELLING HER FOR US, TO
SUE TIPTON FOR FINDING HANK AND TO FIONA
FOR TAKING PHOTOS OF HIM PRIOR TO HIS
ARRIVAL AND SENDING THEM TO US. AND
FINALLY TO THAT CHRIS AGAIN FOR A SMOOTH
FLIGHT.
UNTIL NEXT
TIME!!!!!!
