YE
OLDE AND NEW COLLECTORS FAIR

all set up by
9.30am phew....... these early mornings!!
An S.O.S. call
meant that Alison was in England saving
two pooches which I am pleased to report
are now back safe and sound in Jersey.
There are large dog pounds all over the
UK. It's so upsetting to think of the
hundreds of dogs that pass through them
weekly, some facing euthanasia.
So Friday saw us,
well at least me, at the fair at St.
Aubins. A magnificant day and a lovely
venue and quite a few people milling
about considering it was such a sunny day
and most folk would have taken to the
beach after a week of not such good
weather.
It was a long day
as it was 4pm before calling it a day.
Along the way I once again met some
lovely people, a few holiday makers who
either had a greyhound or lurcher back
home or indeed had a friend with one
which is always good news. Even had a
chat to a lady who is a dog warden up in
Nottingham, such sad stories.

This cheeky face
belongs to Paige and if you were
wondering about the 'would be greyhound'
to her right, that's Whisper one of
Donna's lurchers who joined us for a
while

Paige with her
sister Amy having a cuddle with 'the
gang'
Well a successful
day not only with the fair but also below
are two very lucky dogs who have escaped
goodness knows what sort of a life and
will now be warm, well fed and above all
loved in Jersey.

Meet Poppy the pup,
a 10 week old whippety gal

Elvis the black 3
year old greyhound boy
We are pleased to
report that Poppy has a home offer and
will be joining her new family at the end
of next week. Elvis is still patiently
waiting...
